11 Give us aid against the enemy,
for the help of man is worthless.
12 With God we will gain the victory,
and he will trample down our enemies.
(Psalm 60:11-12 NIV)
The sum of all of man’s strivings and efforts to help one another is so vastly inferior to the aid of the LORD, that to look to man for help, is to be dead. One should be utterly dependent on no one, but God alone.
Victory can only be found in God giving it. It is not derived from humanity, or weapons of man, but its only source is with God. To look elsewhere for victory is worthless.
