Election Night

Well, as all you U.S. citizens know (or should), today is election day! For those who hold to God’s standard of morality today can be a very influential day in the direction of the morality of this country. If certain people are elected that promote abortion by limiting or eliminating restrictions to it, then it seems clear to me that immorality in the forms of abortion, gay marriage, and the like will steadily increase. This grieves my heart!

When it comes to abortion, there’s something I just don’t understand. Remember the Holocaust during World War II - 6,000,000 million Jews were viciously murdered (and I emphasize viciously murdered). After these horrific events, many around the world said “Never again!” While these people’s intentions were good I’m sure, unfortunately there’s been a disconnect between them and reality. What’s really occurred between then and now have been numerous genocides throughout the world (some still raging today) and a new type of murderous campaign - the allowed (and in some cases deliberate) murdering of unborn babies. Since Roe V. Wade something like 48,000,000+ babies have been brutally murdered. Yet people remain silent on this point, or those who are vocal are silenced by their opponents who insist a woman has a choice to murder her own son or daughter in her womb. Where is this going?? Will we wake up tomorrow being told by some leaders that it’s okay to murder our three year-old because we’re just sick and tired of their whining and crying?? Think about it people!!

We must stand up as a united front against this moral evil rampant throughout America and in the ideology of many of its leaders. I don’t care what the results are tonight; we must still stand while we have the freedom to do so! We must make important to us what is important in God’s eyes, and surely the murdering of His creations is in His sight as an evil. Let us defend those who cannot defend themselves!!

In the midst of all this, we cannot lose hope. Even if others win than those we hoped, we cannot lose our hope. No matter what occurs we must remember this vital truth - our hope is not founded in worldly governments or leaders, but in the coming King Jesus Christ! Let us trust in Him alone!

    Dan,

You are a very insightful young adult! I appreciate your Biblical worldviews and I share them with you. Now is the time for all Christians to humble themselves and pray and ask the Lord to heal our land and bring revival as the scriptures say. Thank you for putting forth God’s Word and principles boldly- I pray the Holy Spirit draw others to your website who are hungry for His love.

    In Christ, Linda

    Hi Dan,

Just a followup to my last post - I just discovered your website today as I was reading Lisa’s blog from Africa. I didn’t realize other comments led to other people’s blogs, sites, etc. - some of us older adults have a lot to learn about navigating the web and how everything is connected :) Well, so as I was clicking into your comments (thank you, by the way, for all your comments and support of Lisa’s missions - I keep a scrapbook for her during most trips and all your comments are in it!!!) and then I found your site! I plan to read other postings on it too in days ahead. So, keep up the good fight of faith - I’m rooting for you!

    In His Grip, Linda
